-
All games will start at 8:00 PM
-
Each night teams will play two games of 501, followed by a game of Baseball, and then followed by another two games of 501.
-
Cost to play is $3.00 per night for both regular players and spares.
-
Spares must signup before 7:45 PM
-
"Full Time" Spares will be given priority placement over "Casual" Spares
-
Teams will be asked who needs spares at 7:45 PM. All teams who are short players must notify the executive at that time. Spares will be assigned at 7:55 PM based on need.
-
Once a spare has been assigned to a team they play for that team the entire night. Should the player they are sparing for arrive latter, that player will not be allowed to play unless there are other teams who are still short players.
-
If a team does not receive a spare and is short handed they must use a "Dummy". Dummy is assigned a place in the 501 order and is scored 25 points every time a team reaches the dummies turn to shoot, unless the team is at 100 points or less. If the team is at 100 points or less the Dummy is not scored and the opposing team will shoot twice in order. Dummies CAN NOT Double In or Double Out, and their turn will be assumed to have been a miss with the opposing team shooting twice in order. In baseball Dummies will score 1 point for every inning played, including extra innings. Should the Dummy be required to shoot for Bull's-eye then the team with the Dummy player may choose an alternate to shoot for Bull's-eye.
-
Team playing orders for 501 games must be set before the start of the 1st game, and may not be changed after the start of the 1st game.
-
Teams will rotate who leads off each 501 game. Game 1 will start with player 1, game 2 with player 2, game 3 with player 3, and game 4 with player 4.
-
Teams must Double in and Double out in games of 501.
-
For the 1st game of 501, the 1st player for each team will Shoot For Bull to determine which team shoots first. The closest to the Bull's-eye will start. In the 2nd game of 501 the team that lost the 1st game will lead off. In baseball the 2nd players in the 501 order will shoot for Bull's-eye, with the winning team deciding if they want to shoot first or last. For the 3rd game of 501 the 3rd players will shoot for Bulls-eye, unless one of the teams is ahead 3 games to 0, in which case the team that is losing will lead off. In the 4th game of 501 the 4th players will shoot for Bull's-eye, unless one of the teams has already won 3 games, in which point the team who lost game 4 will shoot first.
-
The team order for baseball must be set before the 1st inning of baseball is played, and can be different from the 501 order. There are 9 innings of baseball with teams shooting for the as many ones in the 1st inning, twos in the 2nd inning and so on. The team with the highest score after 9 innings wins. If a team is tied after 9 innings they will play extra innings, shooting for tens, and if needed elevens, twelve's, and so on, continuing until a team has won an inning. The first team to win an inning in extras will win the game.
-
SMOKING - The Innisfil Lions Hall is a NON-SMOKING venue as per the Government of Ontario regulations. In order to accommodate smokers teams may choose between 2 options, if teams can not agree on which option to choose then they must bring this to the executive before the start play and the executive will decide for them.
-
Smoking Option 1 is that after each game a 2 minute smoke break will be allowed.
-
Smoking Option 2 is to play the first 2 games of 501 with a 5 minute smoke break after the 2nd game, play Baseball followed by another 5 minute smoke break, and then play the last 2 games of 501.
-
Should a player leave for a smoke during play then his/her turn in the order for 501 games will be played as a Dummy. They will score 25 in 501, and miss their turn to double in or out should it be their turn. In baseball players missing there turn due to smoking will get NO SCORE for that inning.
-
SCORING - Teams are responsible for keep score of their games. A score sheet will be provided, and each team should supply a scorer for the night, sharing scoring duties. It is up to the teams and scorers to decide who will score each game.
- MISSING 3 WEEKS - Any player who misses 3 or more weeks in a row without giving the league prior notice will be removed from their team, and replaced by another player.
